my DS will be 2 in June.  the other day we had the following conversation/action/thoughts around toddler teething:

Me:  boo boo!  dont chew on your hand, that whole fist in the mouth thing isnt funny until college

DS:  giggle (with gnawing on fingers) (and drooling)

DS:  OOOWWW mama!!!

Me:  what?

DS:  (showing me his fingers - WITH TEETH MARKS) kiss it mama!  ooowwww

Me:  well, dont chew on your fingers then!  it hurts! (trying, unsuccessfully, not to laugh!) (kissed hurt fingers)

DS:  (giggles) (puts hands back in mouth for chewing)

  • That's what I call the Rinse & Repeat cycle at my house.. however, instead of it happening with my 2 year old son it happens with my husband.
