Ahhh, the tenderness of a child...

My 3 year old son made my day this morning. I was getting he and myself ready to get out the door and I bumped my elbow on the corner of the wall and proclaimed, "wow, that hurt." He came up to me, kissed my elbow and said "I'm sorry you have a boo-boo, mama." I know it seems simple, but, wow - there was such a sweet sincerity in his empathy that made me so proud of him. I then, however had to chase him down to try and comb his hair! Life is good, yes??!!
