If you could kick one habit, what would it be?

Actually, I would like to kick myself, but otherwise speaking, my habit to kick would be; to stop picking up needy guys and thinking that I can change them.

My family tells me this all the time, but as for learning a lesson, I guess I have not yet learned.  I know what I want in a relationship, and I know what type of person I am looking for, so why is it that I feel compelled to settle and pick the first one, whom I think ok, he has got pretty much the qualities I am looking for, then find out, wow, you need help.

How do I change this habit, and not hurt other people's feelings before it is too late?

  • I feel like as women, we have become so lonley and so despreate for love, affection, and any type of attention that we sometimes settle. Settle for good, bad, alright but we never wait for that special one. We would reather be in a relationship with SOMEONE then no one. I am just newly single after over 16 yrs of marriage. I have tried to push myself to find any man that I feel looks at me. As stupid as it is, I am scared, lonley and I don't want to be alone. I know I am not alone in feeling that way. We have to support eachother as women and hold eachother accountable when we see eachother just setteling because of.... Most of us know what we want from a man. We are just to scared to ask for it and be upfront about it from the start. We are also to weak to open opur mouth and just say, no I am not feeling the way you are treating me. It is over! Sometimes we just have to tell people, no suger coating it. We HAVE to brake the habbit of settling.
