Grrr, computers! Grrr, Vista and/or Dell!

Well, my brand spanking new laptop - all of one month old - refused to restart yesterday morning. It has been rushed off to the computer emergency clinic where, last I heard, it was languishing on a shelf waiting for a techie guru to take a look at it. Yes, I am ticked. Brand new. New, new, new. I might be without my electronic lifeline for about a week, maybe more. In the meantime, I am back to borrowing my husband's comptuters. Worst part is: if it's a Vista problem, apparently I get to pick up the tab. Dell won't pay. Microsoft won't pay. Where else would this happen? I mean, if I bought a brand new car from Toyota and the cd player broke a month later, Toyota would take care of it. They would not say - oh, the cd player was made by Sony so it's not our problem. Grrr!! Thanks for reading my rant. Wish me luck!

  • It's called poor customer service and in the end they will pay for it in fewer customers and bad word of mouth.
