Prioritizing

Goodmorning!  Monday morning is here and I am a bit overwhelmed.  I have work to do, which for me is a good thing for Pretty Pear Designs.  I have announcements to make, wholesale cards for lovely stores, and I need to stock up on inventory for the summer.  However, I seem to be spending all my time on the computer, when I should be designing.  I do most of my work at night after the kids go to bed.  It just at times is too hard to do when they are awake and provide mommy with lots of interruptions.  I guess when I am on the computer it is easier for me to stop and start.  My problem is because my work load is getting bigger, it is getting harder to do it all at night.  I get some breaks when my 4yr is Jr,k in the afternoon and the 2 yr old naps - but that is not everyday.  I am rambling here, but I need to figure out a better way of prioritizing my time all around.  It is sooooo hard for me to do because I am not a time schedule kind of person.  Any insight would be great.

  • I agree with Nataly - some daytime help would be great.

See if there are any mom's clubs that might have a babysitting co-op that you could uitlize? Are there any dropoff daycare centers that could afford you an hour or two of peace and quiet?

My only warning with havingthe kids cared for and out of the house is that my problem is then focusing on what I really NEED to do during that time instead of putzing around!

  • It sounds like you have more work now and you might need to think about some daytime help so you get a few hours of uninterrupted working time. Is that a possibility?
