A working parents friendly cold

My daughter did us a huge favor and got sick on a Saturday. I am a bad, guilty mom as I write this because I am being selfish - but there you have it. This way we were able to take care of her and hang out at home without having to juggle work schedules.

I am in fear of what's to come in the late fall and winter - it's her first year in preschool - but this time the cold worked with busy working parents' schedules:)

  • I remember when my girls were littler, we were always "happy" when they got sick on the weekend! As a school teacher, putting together last minute sub plans was always a hassle! But my hubby and I used to switch off who would stay home with the sick one! He was good about that.

  • Thanks, Florinda - and this morning she is better, but I am pretty sure I've got her bug:)

  • Don't judge yourself on that - I think it's pretty normal to wish your kids would get sick at a time when it's not too disruptive. Hope she feels better soon!
