Insomnia

I don't think I actually have insomnia, I just don't have the desire to go to bed lately.  This has made for some really difficult mornings recently.  My husband isn't too happy with me because I haven't been going to bed at the same time as him...

The problem is that I don't feel like I get much other time to myself.  During the day I have the baby.  When he gets home I want to spend time with him.  Late at night seems perfect.  Maybe I'll think something else up...but there are only so many hours in a day.

  • jlauren, It's good to know that this won't last. I might pull my hair out if I thought it would last forever...haha.

Nataly, I think I'm starting to notice the effects of too little sleep...for me I get rather spacey and jittery AND cranky...yikes.

  • Although you never really stop trying to "steal" and extra hour or two of me/husband time after the baby goes down, it does get way better. At some point, when sleeping through the night becomes more common, you'll be able to have more time to yourself. The first year is really the hardest.

  • I totally get what you're saying - and I think this is the reason many of us busy working moms are online or reading late at night.... But you know, I've lately been trying to get myself to get more sleep - I realized that 4-5 hours a night is fine for a short while, but then it starts to make me really tired and cranky:)
