I liked working midnight shift years ago before being married and having my baby but now I miss sleeping beside my husband and time with my daughter.  I've been looking for a way not to destroy our monthly budget and spend more time with my family.  Yesterday a good friend of ours called me to see if I knew anyone that could sit with his grandmother.  I jumped on it when I showed interset he seemed suprised but was thrilled and it gets better   he asked if I could bring my daughter with me.  He said "Nanna loves Abby and I think it would do wonders to have a little one around" .  So now I have a 9 to 5 weekday job that I can take my daughter to with me.  I went into work this morning to give them a 2 week notice and talked to my old boss in the activity dept some (they made cuts a few months ago including me,  thats what lead to me working midnight shift)  I told her about my new job and how wonderful it was going to be spending that much time with my daughter and helping a friend.  I expressed my sadness at leaving all the residents I love at the nursing home and she asked would you like to still work here a few days a month.  She had just gotten approvel to hire someone to work every other weekend in the actitivy dept.  I took it.  Now I get to spend every week with my daughter every evening with my family and sleep in bed every night.   I get the job position at work that I loved back 4 days a month and every other weekend to go on outings as a family or once in awhile a night out with my husband.  I can't remember being this happy in a long time and can't wait till my two weeks is up and we can start getting into a new and wonderful routine.    I feel so lucky and blessed
