Time Management with a Crock Pot

I love to cook, and since becoming a mom and working from home I have found cooking time gets smushed and we end up eating out.
I am working on getting fit and losing some fat, so eating Mexican out once a week is not really such a great idea.
I was looking around for some healthy recipes and found this amazing blog called Crockpot 365. This woman, Stephanie, made a new year's resolution to use her crockpot every day for a year.
What fun! She's blogging about it the whole way.
It was then the light dawned on me. The crock pot. What a great way to manage dinner and my time.
I have since started using the crockpot at least a couple days a week. It is so easy, and I can put it on in the morning (our good time of day) and dinner is just ready in the evening (our not so good time of day).
I don't have to heat up the house with the oven or stove during the summer, and I don't have to suddenly panic at 6 when Hanna's yelling "hungry hungry" and realize I forgot to make dinner again!
If you are looking for an easy way to manage your time as well as dinner I suggest you think about adding your crock pot to your cooking schedule.

I was quite surprised ~ not just for soups anymore!

Crockpots are great timesavers, and in the summer they don't heat up the kitchen. I just used mine the other day for crockpot burritos (easy). I'm going to check out the link, but I can't imagine using a crockpot every day for a year. I think we'd get a bit tired of it by then :)
