and yet my other buisness

So I don't know if I mentioned, but I am a WAHM. I have like 5 jobs!!

I am a certified teacher (2nd grade), although I haven't done that since I had Claire (3 years).

I am a certified Child Birth Educator. That is new and I LOVE it. I do it once a week. I love being around pregnant ladies!!

I work for a NON Profit for which I do marketing and meeting planning.

I am trying the photography thing (As I talked about in my previous post).

And then I have a small buisness: 3SistersCrafts in which myself and my sisters make jewelry. Lately (within the past 6 months) I started focusing on mother's jewelry  (fertility jewelry, loss jewelery, grand ma) fun stuff.

So my question is: How do I pick? I am truly running out of time. Right now I work 10 hours a week for the NON profit, 8 a week CCE, and then the jewelry is just taking off, so maybe 3 hours a week right now.

Then I am starting this photography thing. Something has to give? Luckily my Claire is in preschool so I have all morning just Lucas and I. But he is now at a stage where he is getting fun to read to and play with as he is more interactive.

Do I hire someone to help me with him and try and make a go at all of them?

I am kind of at a loss..

What I really want, is for the photography buisness to take off and then just do that and CCE and the jewelry once in awhile.

We will see!

  • Hi! I am interested in maybe starting my own photography business in the next few years but no nothing about how to get started, what kind of camera to buy, etc. I am going to sign up for photography classes at my local community college this fall but would really appreciate any advice you have....

  • Congrats on the new ventures! It sounds like your heart is with the photography business, so I would put a significant amount of hours per week into getting that to take off. Hiring someone to watch Lucas for a few hours a week is a great idea! I am currently doing that with my son, too, while I get my freelance writing underway. Maybe you could find a way to cut back on the non-profit job, since that seems like it's taking up a lot of your time as well. Then you could do the childbirth education and jewelry as sort of a relax and unwind thing. :) Good luck!!

  • Sounds like you have a lot on your plate... No idea how you manage to do all of it... Try to focus on what you like the most. Keeping up with everything you do is going to get harder and harder as your kids require more attention.
