Now There are Too Many Choices

So I now have 3 fabulous candidates as babysitters. I can't believe it! And while that should be a good thing, I can't decide. How do you make this choice? We were originally going to go with 2 so we would have a backup but now he thinks we should have all 3 for a trial run. Will this be too confusing for the kids? Will they care? Will it be too confusing for me?!? I definately need the help, definately, but how do I choose? Just griping but open to comments.

Thanks, gals. I slept on it and know I have to have all three for a trial run. Funny b/c it's not like I have 40 hours to split between them. At most it's 16! But I'll call them all and see where they stand and keep my fingers crossed. Wish I had set up for one to come over today for a couple of hours!! My girls are certainly outgoing enough and ready for this.

Whether it would be too confusing for the kids depends entirely on the kids. Are they friendly, out-going, go-with-the-flow, the-more-people-the-more-lovin' kind of kids? Then they'll love it. If they're quiet and slow to warm up to new people, it might be a bit much.

A trial run is a good idea, because someone can interview really well, but not be quite what you expected in real life. This is what "probationary periods" are all about in the workplace!

But in fact, I agree with mamajama: I think that after you have your trial run (if you decide to do that), you'll probably find the one you like best is the one you liked best before!

It might be good to give all three a run...but my advice would be to just go with your first inclination...your gut is usually right.
