Taking time for me
Today I spent 10 minutes eating breakfast and not doing anything else.
Does this warrant a note? For me - yes. Usually I don't allow myself any idle moment when I am not reading, working, typing - the day does not seem to have enough time for that.
But today, I just sat there and ate my breakfast - egg whites, whole wheat toast with some butter and jelly and coffee (not bad, right? - and did nothing else. For about 10 minutes.
I felt so good and not insane and frazzled like usual for the next hour or so. It's not a huge impact, but I'll take it. I am sure it made me more productive.
We keep hearing advice to take time for ourselves and I personally usually ignore it. I am learning my lesson.
