Thank you all for your thoughts and wishes!  I dont mean to yammer on, but it's hard not to at the same time.  Since i have started, i figured i must continue!

My Granddad passed away on friday at 6:10pm. 

As sad and tough as it is, i also think it is exactly as he wanted it.  He was out having fun and living life to the fullest and that's the last thing he remembered.  He was with us long enough to get the family to come together and reconnect, and did not linger in pain.  As if he had planned it, all 12+ of us went out to dinner and were able to enjoy one another.  Many had never met my husband or my son, whom they loved instantly (of course!) and whose goodnatured, happy spirit brought levity to a very somber occasion.  His smile and laughter helped all of us more than he will probably ever really know! 

It's been a really weird weekend - such sadness and joy, and everyday 'stuff'.
