Small minded stupidity

I just read a story about a woman in Michigan who, on Halloween night, refused to give candy to kids whose parents were Obama supporters. She had a sign on her lawn that specifically stated "No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters." She is punishing the kids because she doesn't agree with their parents.  What a jerk!

Someone long ago told me that bigotry doesn't only mean you hate one's race. It can also mean hatred of any kind, simply because they're different from you.

The last time I looked, being a Christian is not a synonum for bigot. And pulling something like this makes us ALL look bad.   AND she has shown the world what a total JERK she really is.  I really hope the public sees here what what she really is.

She's proved to the world just how small minded one can be.

  • You should never impose your view of religion, political views, etc. on anyone else. Everyone has a right to think however they want but cross the line when they think that their way is the only way. I read the article and think it was a terrible-childish thing to do. How small minded some people can be.

  • That's putting it mildly. If you disagree with one's political beliefs, you deal with it on an adult level. Children are children are children. And regardless of beliefs, Halloween is ultimately for children. It actually started out as All Hallow's Eve, and for anyone that's Catholic, I believe that Nov. 1 is a Holy Day (I'm not Catholic but am married to one). It was also stolen, I believe, from the Druids/Pegans as a celebration of the fall harvest. So, for this jerk of a woman to penalize kids, who are only celebrating Halloween, over their parents supporting a particular candidate...I'm sorry, but this is a VERY sad and sick person.
