Make the world a little better

Again the holiday’s are coming up quickly
and we all have people on our list who are difficult to shop for.
Whether they don’t want or need anything, they’re hard to please or fit
there’s always at least one.
Even though the economy is a mess right now I am trying to help the
people that I know remember how fortunate we really are. If you’re
reading this odds are you have shelter, heat and electricity. You have
clothes on your back and maybe even shoes on your feet. You have a
computer and internet and phone access. You have the right to vote and
pray and stand up for what you believe in.
We’ve just finished an election cycle that has changed the history
of our nation forever. President-elect Obama has said that this is not
change but the chance of change. He said “Today we begin in
earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is
just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today”.
With that sentiment in mind I will be posting charities throughout
the next several weeks. Some of these I have given to myself, others
just look interesting. If you have charities that should be added than
please share them with me. If something speaks to your heart please
listen to it and help leave the world a little bit better tomorrow than
it is today.
