What's All the Fuss About Michelle Obama?

Michelle Obama will be staying home helping her kids adjust to life at the White House. Why is there so much fuss about this? I simply don't understand working women or non-working women who need to validate themselves with the actions of others. Working, parenting, how to live your life are all personal choices for both men and women to make for themselves.

I think what's she's doing is great. I would like everyone to make choices that are right for them and judge others for their choices less.

  • Great points -- I completely agree. I think of my life in terms of stages or shifts -- at times, my career takes precedence, at others, it's my family or something else. And I think that's what Michelle Obama is doing -- choosing a different stage in her life, one that works for her family.
