I know things are really bad in the economy -- they are saying the worst since the Depression -- but I feel like the media might be making it worse. This probably sounds naive, but if all we read is that things are horrible then surely consumers won't spend any $$ and that will make the economy even worse.

I might need to go on an economic news diet...
