Newbie.. with stress about having to go back to work

Hey everyone

i just join and this sounds like a great site... I'm currently about to go back to work in a few days and i have to put my baby in daycare. I feel so upset that i have to do this. I want to be with me, I think that she is too small for daycare. everyone that i have talked to is saying that they have put there children in at 6 months to a year. so i feel bad that someone else will be raising my baby.

does anyone feel this way? or is it just me...

I've been in your shoes; I've also worked in child care. You will always be Mom to your baby, no matter who cares for her when you're gone. Easier said than done, though, I know! My hope is that the caregivers understand you and keep in touch, calling you whenever you need reassurance that your little doll is doing well.

Hi Christy. I experienced the same feelings with my first child. I just COULD NOT do it!! I looked far and wide for alternative forms of income. I explained my delima to my current boss, and to my surprise, he offered to allow me to telecommute. I worked my prior full time job on a part time basis from home. Then, I soon became pregnant with my second child, so I maintained this part time at home position for a year. My husband and I had to make sacrifices, yes, but for us, it was well worth it.

I guess the question you need to ask yourself is - do you want to go back to work? If the answer is a flat no, then there are legitimate work at home opportunites that you can consider. I have researched them for many years, and I often help women find the right opportunity that fits them. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you (it is a real passion of mine!!).
