Dealing in Luxury

I was surprised to see the amount of money people are while to spend on anything new age. The introduction of new armour shoes has set the trend for today's gym going population. Many of the folks in my office have bought either shoes or sports wear from under armour and was the discussion of hour at lunch time today afternoon. I enquired about the benefits of buying this specific sports gear, especially since the price was quite high, but most of them were quite unaware of it. A vague answer was that it helps keep sweat away. I am sure thats a good benefit but I hope its worth the amount you are playing. I can understand if serious athletes invest in professional sports gear like under armour seems to be but for the casual gym going populace it seems to be a little too much on the extravagant side. I read up a few review on under armour shoes and they seem to be made for professional trainers mostly for exercises requiring fast movements. It seems to be made targetting a very specific section of professional who get trained in a particular manner and is not for the general populace. In fact one of the review sited that it is not advisable to wear under armour shoes while jogging because it is not very comfortable. Imagine buying running shoes for jogging and then under armour shoes for your workouts, to me it just seems like too much of a luxury. Are we getting into the trends of spending on items we dont quite need more out the need to be a part of the hype? Maybe credit cards have made things a little to easy for the majority of the middle class shopping populace.
