'Mommy, be quiet'. Yes, this is what I heard from my adorable almost 2 year old on Sunday. I was so surprised I didn't discipline her or really even comment at first. In fact, I think I chuckled after the second time. She is only almost 2 after all, and it was in response to me 'Shh'ing her during a sermon at our friends church.

It is amazing how those 3 little words can evoke so many emotions. Humor - my 2 year old who is blurting out the colors of her crayons in church telling me to be quiet. Pride - she is actually saying 3+ word sentences now! Annoyance - My daughter told me to be quiet. Sadness - my little girl is growing up and this is just the start of her backtalking. Even regret at not handling it differently.

I can't wait to hear what is next.
