So daughter had a loose tooth. And being the wicked mom I am, was helping her to 'wiggle it'....  My nails are longer and so I was using the tip of my nail to move the top of the tooth around. And then MUCH to both of our surprise..........it simply......popped out. Any by popped out......I mean flung itself out of her mouth (which led to some frantic searching of the carpet to find the little bugger....)

Neither one of us expected that to happen........yet. But it has.

Now I get to explain to dear daughter that the economic situation that is currently affecting my ability to find a job (which btw, read an article today that the unemployment rate for my area is just over 10% now).....has also affected the toothfairy's ability to fund the loss of teeth.

You don't think about such a little thing being a big deal. But it is. There will be tears I am sure. But not much I can do about it.

They never did get easter baskets from me. Thankully they understood that, and didn't say too much about it.

I still feel like crap for it though.
