So I've started a blog. It's called Still Rooted & Grounded. I call myself the Christian Fiction Fan. It's just an introduction for the first post, but it'll be a book blog, basically reviewing different works of fiction.

My goal is to land a gig doing book reviews for some paying publisher, or having a home business as a reviewer. I think I like both. Anyway I figure I get some reviews under my belt, get a decent review blog going, maybe I can do what I do - read and write, but for a living. I know it won't be easy.

I plan to pursue the Mad Science franchise and work a reviewing job. I opened an online Christian book store late last night, but I'll go in and really get a feel today. I am doing paid surveys too, but for the most part I am trying to get my other home biz stuff going and profitable. But with the kids it can be a real challenge...

Take yesterday. And the day before. Swine flu had the kids out of school, so needless to say I got nothing done. I stayed up til 1am trying to set the blog up an get some other things done. We went out briefly to run errands but then the storm just messed up my plans to take them to the park. I couldn't really do computer work either. So it had to be once the commotion calmed down, in the house and outside it.

And that's a wrap for now. Gotta get breakfast going...
