Well I am about to call the SBA about this bookstore I want. I wasn't sure I wanted it, or that I liked it, but after going back and checking things out again, and talking to the current owner, I think it's for me.

I had debated about whether I want to do a Mad Science franchise, because it is great for kids, loads of fun, and very profitable, but books is where my heart is. I cannot do both because I don't want to be in too much debt, although I actually could own both. I just want to play it safe and not overwhelm myself.

Doing Mad science and having an online bookstore would be cool, because I could perhaps join a book club, or start one, and still have that involvement. But I love being surrounded by books, helping schools to get what they need, plus the feel of the books in my hands, being able to talk to people face-to-face about them, etc. I am not a sales person, per se, although I can sell. I just love books and like to promote them.

I have been looking for a bookstore for sale for two years, and here is my chance. So as much fun as Mad Science would be, I need to do what I love...
