Let me introduce my career, a teacher to the young and a mentor to the working adults. I am a lecturer cum a mentor in a private education provider.

Would I want my girls to follow in my career footstep?

For my eldest girl , definitely yes as I believe she has the right attitude and personality to enjoy the job. To be able to teach and mentor, one needs to be in control of situation and allows the flexibility to re-adjust the performance standards set. Patience and perseverance are of most importance in this career. As he eldest, she leads by example, thus I think she will make in the education field.

For my second girl. I love if she can make teaching her love. She is passionate and likes to be in touch with people and events happening around her all the time. She always asks who and what, with the why following. These questioning attitude will move her along just fine in the teaching line.

For my youngest on the block, I need to wait a few more years before I can make a judgement. A two-year old is just too young to be tackled on the career path.
