Mommy of 2
Posted 12th May 2009 by Bertha
Well let me start by saying that my oldest daughter just turned six. It was kind of bitter sweet I have to say. It made me just think about the day that she was born and I wondered where the time has gone. My little one is going to turn three in a few weeks to and I can't believe I am pretty much out of the baby stage, I don't need a diaper bag anymore, no more diapers Thank God!! My girls are really growing up for sure way to fast. I love the stage that they are both in right now. They are both pretty independent, but yet can't be without eachother. It's so incredible how they both learn from one another. I can just sit, watch, and listen to them all day, they are so funny.
I am working full time and I sometimes feel I miss out on them growing up. Its hard at times, there are days that I wish that I could just stay home and spend time with them. But now a days there is no way that can happen. I love coming home and hearing about my 6 year old's day at school, (wow its so weird to say that) she tells me about her teachers and her little friends and all the fun that she had. And my little 3 year old tells me about her day (she is such a talker!) and tries to take center stage some times and interrupts her big sister so she can get my attention. My husband is so awesome and supportive. He is a great Dad. My girls will always say that we are the best parents in the world!!! My heart still skps a beat cause I remember thinking the same way about my parents when I was a kid, and being on the receiving end of that statement makes it all worth wild.
The bottom line is that I love being a mommy. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. This is truly my number one job and by far the most fulfilling of any job in the world. I count my blessings everyday and thank God for having the chance to experience this beautiful thing.........MOTHERHOOD!!!
