Green for Success

In our professional lives we sometimes have the rare privilege of being deeply impacted by a defining experience. Maybe it is that first consultant recruited. Or perhaps earning that incentive trip when everyone said it was impossible. They are moments worth relishing and remembering.

Last week I had the opportunity to attend the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance conference in Los Angeles, aptly themed “Celebrate the Pride of your Profession.” I attended as a vendor, representing my company, IMN, an e-communication solution provider. I went expecting the usual: to meet prospective customers, visit with current users of IMN solutions and learn more about the direct selling industry.

What I didn’t expect, was to be hypnotized. Nor did I know that I would come out of this event with a very clear understanding of my goals and a powerful confidence in my ability to achieve that goal very soon.

Brought in as a guest entertainer for the event, Wayne Lee (author, speaker, hypnotist from Alberta, Canada) started with the fun aspects of his effect. But then he got serious, and used the effect to give me a gift. He told me to imagine my greatest goal and to visualize it clearly; then to associate it with my favorite color. His effect was that from now on, every time I see that color, green, I will be reminded of my goal and have a very real sense that it is within reach. The experience was so profound it brought me to tears. What is my goal you might ask? To empower one million direct selling consultants using IMN capabilities, helping them build their businesses and achieve more confidence.

Whatever Wayne the Hypnotist did to me, it worked. From now on, the color green triggers a renewed motivation in my abilities and desire to achieve my success by helping others achieve theirs. Never before has my goal felt so real and attainable.

If you are a direct selling consultant, I would love for you to be one of a million direct selling consultants empowered thanks to IMN capabilities. Ask me how IMN can help you catapult your business. But don’t just take my word for it. At DSWA, Marcia Brown, a Legacy Executive Director for Tupperware who recently started using IMN’s e-newsletter capabilities attested that since she did so, she has been able to sponsor more. She has booked many parties and reconnected with several former consultants that have now re-started their Tupperware business.

We can be in this together. As I achieve my goal, you will get closer to yours, too.
