Updates for me
You know, it's kind of funny. When Lylah interviewed me for WorkItMom almost a year ago (I think that's about right...) she had asked what I wanted to do for a living, and I said something along the lines of writing about music and making money doing it.
Well, guess what...I'm sort of doing that now. I've been promoting and marketing Winslowshire (which technically was all about music) and also other events that I'm doing.
Now, I've been asked by a PreSchool in Winchester (PreSchool Social) to help her find some students and while trying to promote that, I wrote into a yahoo group called NorthShore Parenting, and just asked if it was okay to promote a business on the yahoo group.
Sometimes, yahoo groups let you promote stuff, and others do not, so I always check just to be sure, as I do read the rules for each site really carefully, it's just that I'm on so many, it's hard to keep track of which is which.
So, in the meantime, the group owner said, sure and by the way, there is a web blog for NorthShore Parenting said, sure and while your at it, you can blog on our site http://www.northshoreparenting.com and if you bring traffic to the site, I'd be willing to compensate you...
Little by little things are coming together for me...I have been networking like crazy and trying to figure out where I need to go next in my career rather than just being the temp.
The next big thing for me (us) is doing a Halloween event which will be coming up shortly at Winslow Farm Sanctuary, but I need more details, since it's still in the planning stages now.
My son's MRI went pretty well, he got really sick (the poor thing) and managed to get through the brain scan, but we had to reschedule the spine scan. The funny (or ironic I should say) thing is that now he's sort of getting the potty training clue(s) down, but it's not consistent.
That's all the updates for now...I may do a short story contest for Good Housekeeping (fiction), let me know if you want the link to compete for it as well...:)

Sometimes it takes a while for your ideas to become a reality, but the important thing is you are taking action and sticking with it.
Would you be interested in writing about your success on my blog? I think my visitors would love to hear a success story like this one.
