My name is Angela and I am new to WorkIt, Mom!!  I am 41 yo and married to my high-school sweetheart, Alvin.  We have been married for 8 1/2 years.  I have a 13 1/2 yo daughter, Amanda who is my world.  Alvin has two children from a previous relationship and marriage.  Alicia is 19 and Ryan is 16.  We do not have much contact with his children because of "Mama Drama" and I choose to stay out of the mix.  As long as he is paying child support, that seems to keep the drama down.  Amanda is from a previous relationship of mine and her bio-father has chosen to pay child support, but have no contact with Amanda.  Not what I wanted, but.........

I work at the local Childrens Hospital in Registration and have been there for a little over 5 years.  I enjoy the work and love the flextime.  It pays the bills and helps us live a comfortable life.  Alvin is a truck driver and is gone 5 days a week.  That have been the hardest thing of me to deal with for the last year or so.  But it has made us work at our marriage more and not take one another for granted.  Alvin is my best friend in the world!!

  • Welcome Angela....my name is Eileen. I have a step-daughter and they try the "Mama Drama" also..it gets old fast....she is grown up now (24 yrs) and you would think that part would be over...but they still try. I like you stay as far away from all of it as I can. My Dad growing up used to be a Truck driver..then started working for the local bus lines. (sometimes out of state trips too) Hope you have a great day.
