My son wouldnt pee or poop in the potty. One day I got him to sit down and he wanted to get right up until he saw a magazine that his dad had left on the floor. I showed him the pics - it was a nature magazine - and guess what? He pooped! The next day I did the same thing and he peed! So, I would suggest showing them pics while on the potty for those starting out because it may distract from the fact that they are sitting on a potty.”
