I am currently on leave from teaching and am home with my wonderful, sweet, one year old boy. I am taking advantage of this time to start a new business.

I grew up in Tennessee and always wanted to be a private detective. I chose a degree in journalism because I liked writing, and after seven years of serving as an editor, I've finally decided where I'd like my life to go.

I am a suburban working mom surrounded by stay-at-home moms, in a community that caters to them. I have a son who is in first grade, and had a daughter in September of 2007. My husband has an hour-long commute, so it sometimes feels like I am a single mom.

I am single mom and entrepreneur. I used to model professionally, but then wrote a book, Goal Digger, and started my own publishing/ marketing company. I live with my daughter in San Francisco.

Alyssa Avant is a Christian author, blogger, podcaster, speaker, and business owner whose desire is to turn the hearts of girls towards God. Alyssa is real, approachable and enthusiastic as she shares from her heart and from the Word of God. Alyssa lives by the verse in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." and has a passion to teach girls how they can be different, â??set apartâ?? and truly beautiful in the eyes of God and others.

I'm the mother of two hilarious and energetic girls--Ava (4) and Carmen (2). I have a great and supportive husband that I don't get enough time alone with. I work as a nonprofit executive and I have a great staff and really interesting work. Now that we know we aren't having any more kids (snip, snip) I am trying to get back into shape and am training for a walking half marathon and trying to get back on the bike path with more frequency. Sometimes I stay up until almost 1 am just to get some quiet time to myself...

I am a married stay at home mom of two beautiful girls. I live on a non-working hobby farm. Always have a desire to create something. Love finding the beauty if things. Have a degree in art education and I have always loved design.
