I am a suburban working mom surrounded by stay-at-home moms, in a community that caters to them. I have a son who is in first grade, and had a daughter in September of 2007. My husband has an hour-long commute, so it sometimes feels like I am a single mom.

Alyssa Avant is a Christian author, blogger, podcaster, speaker, and business owner whose desire is to turn the hearts of girls towards God. Alyssa is real, approachable and enthusiastic as she shares from her heart and from the Word of God. Alyssa lives by the verse in Romans 8:28, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." and has a passion to teach girls how they can be different, â??set apartâ?? and truly beautiful in the eyes of God and others.

I'm the lucky mother of a beautiful little girl born on 1/3/08.

I'm a full time law student and part time student practitioner (read: underpaid law clerk!) who is expecting her first child in May. Fortunately, D-Day is two weeks after exams are done. We hope.

I am a mom, wife, friend, daughter, sister and scientist. I have a wonderful 3 year old daughter, and another baby on the way. I just finished my PhD and want to get out of Georgia!

I live in Beverly (north of Boston) with my husband. We have been together for 13 years, but married for just one!
