I have said before that right now, it's historical romance. But I also have a tendre for mysteries.Flag as inappropriate Posted by Jen Creer on 17th August 2007

Fantasy and Science Fiction, with a preference for Fantasy. I am such a geek.
But I like Historical Romance, too. Loving my Outlander.
OH! Gabaldon was at the Scottish Festival here a couple weeks back! The series will definitely be continuing!

I don't read a lot of genre fiction - the occasional legal thriller, maybe. I read mysteries and fantasy a lot when I was younger, and "chick lit" is probably the closest I get to reading romance.Flag as inappropriate Posted by Florinda Pendley Vasquez on 17th August 2007

My favorite genre changes with my mood & my stress level; sometimes the best reading is nothing more than the tv guide. I would say that as things are right now my readings tend toward the lighter end of fiction, nothing too heavy and mostly set current or recent time. Although I did read a historical series not too long ago by Philippa Gregory, Earthly Joys & Virgin Earth.Flag as inappropriate Posted by CursingMama on 17th August 2007

I guess my favorite has to be biography/autobiography.Flag as inappropriate Posted by Keri on 19th August 2007

CursingMama, I have a series by Philippa Gregory, but it seems so *dark* that I am afraid to read it! *snort*

I'm like Cursing Mama - depends on mood (and stress). I like English village novels; I love Jane Austen; some historical fiction, mysteries every week. Sometimes biography, very occasionally poetry. Erotica, if it's well done. Humour. I used to read a lot of fantasy, but I've lost my taste for it, mostly.
Don't like suspense, horror, thrillers AT ALL.Flag as inappropriate Posted by MaryP on 22nd August 2007 -
