Do you outsource or have staff?

  Do you outsource for different functions or skill sets for your business or do you have hire staff?

  For myself, being a small business, I have found it easier and more efficient to outsource instead of hiring esp since I don't the expertise in all the areas. It is better to contract someone who is an expert already so that I gain insight as well as not have to worry about what to do with them as my budget changes, etc.

  I outsource locally too, and have looked into offshore outsourcing. I did get a reference from a grad school friend. It feels risky just jumping in to an agency you find on Google. I have yet to contract offshore, however. Anybody else done this?
