  • Do people out there have any great tips for SEO?? It is always a good thing to get more traffic to your website without having to pay for ads!

  • I am becoming an expert - here are some easy ones:

-Make sure you have a good title tag on your homepage. It should use some keywords that are relevant -- so when people search for them, your site has a chance to be high in rankings.

-Make sure that each page on your site has a DIFFERENT title tag -- if they are the same, the search engine thinks the pages are actually competing sites.

Title tags are key for getting your site up high in SEO.

Some great tips are also here -- you have to get into the tech mindset though

  • Cool. Thanx! I will send this to my partner, who will complain that she doesn't have time to think about this now, and will nag until we get somewhere...

  • I don't mean to sound like an idiot? But what do you mean by tags?

  • Not at all Jen. Each website page has a meta-tag assigned to it -- it's kind of like a nickname for that page to tell search engines what it's about. To edit these you need to get into the HTML code of your site.

  • Thanks Nataly! I like to think I am pretty computer literate - at work people ask for help. But when it comes to tags, keywords, html etc I am lost. Have any ideas where I could learn some of this info quickly? A book, website, blog??? I am a quick learner - and I learn by doing. Thanks!
