Constant Congestion
Subscribe-
I recently posted about my DD constant congestion and ear infections.
In my last post I told everyone I was going to take her to a pediatric chiropractor to help move the fluid through.
Well I did take her and wow what a difference.
(Can I mention the Dr. is a little Dr. MCdreamy?? He is...not to mention a pure doll)
We have had three visits and the congestion is next to nothing, she happier, whinning less and her BM's have been off the charts healthy.
I was lucky to find a very good Dr. for her. He is genuine, careful and really cares about his patients health.
I also switched her to rice milk.
Thanks for the feedback.Flag as inappropriate Posted by on 27th February 2008 -
Great news. Did you think she was having an allergy to dairy? How is a chiropractor able to help with congestion? Just curious as to how they handle this.Flag as inappropriate Posted by Diane on 27th February 2008

He adjusts her and gets the fluid moving through. Not sure of the medical term but she gets adjusted. I am not sure if it was an allergy to dairy 100% because we still give her some dairy but in moderation.Flag as inappropriate Posted by on 27th February 2008

That's wonderful news! I didn't even know you could take kids to the chiropractor. Thanks for sharing!
This is a piece of almost useless knowledge that I have from my speech team days...but did you know that all humans are allergic to dairy (very slightly). It causes the esophagus to swell. Anyway, I have always thought that was interesting. Maybe your daughter is just more sensitive to dairy than most people.Flag as inappropriate Posted by mamajama on 29th February 2008 -
My daughter gets horrible congestion from milk, but she can do all other dairy with no problem. If we run out of soy milk and it's 95 degrees below 0 out and I don't feel like braving it I will give her regular milk for her cereal, but I first give her eight drops of this dairy allergy stuff from the health food store. Works like a charm!Flag as inappropriate Posted by Sparkz on 29th February 2008

I took her to the pediatricuan today and she said there is still some fluid in there but not that much. That was the first time I heard "not that much in MONTHS!". She is even talking more too...so much so I have a terrible headache today from all her sounds.Flag as inappropriate Posted by on 1st March 2008
