  • Hi! This is my first post. I joined because I'm looking for support/advice. Just returned to work full time after being home with my baby for 6 1/2 months. We found a kind, patient, experienced in-home daycare for my son. My son cries nearly the whole time I leave him (unless he is being held). He is so happy there while I am there: smiles and flirts with the daycare provider, but is pretty inconsolable starting 5 minutes after I leave. The provider has 2 other kids and has sweetly told me "I can't hold him all day." Also, he gets himself all worked up and won't nap! So he is upset AND overtired. I'm at my wit's end. I've used up all my time at work, so need for this to work out. I'm afraid that I'm wearing out my daycare provider. Everyone tells me he will adjust, but how can I help him? Any thoughts or suggestions?!
