Kirsten Mangers is the Founder and CEO of WebVisible, an interactive advertising platform company in Irvine, CA. Kirsten is a mom of two children who are now 14 and 17 years old. Can you tell us a bit about your company?
We provide a platform for companies to advertise with major search engines online. We bring visibility to millions of local business websites that would otherwise be lost in a vast Internet landscape.
What inspired you to start your business?
I used to be with Engage Media in their local interactive advertising division. In 2001, our unit was eliminated. We had huge contracts with major clients but no platform. I had an opportunity to renegotiate my team’s non-compete agreements, transferred all the contracts to us, and started our own company where we built our platform from the ground up.
