Each week, we take a little time to introduce you to another member here at Work It, Mom! This week, we'd like you to meet Brandy, a mom of six who lives in Maryland and works as a childbirth educator and doula.

1.) What do you do?

I am a clinical hypnotherapist, HypnoBirthing Childbirth educator, doula, and director of my local holistic business network.

2.) How did you end up in your current career?

10 years ago I was adopting my girl, Ana, and I was a smoker and everytime I held her she would have an asthma attack. So I decided to quit. I tried the patch, gum, and the pill and NOTHING. Then I read about hypnosis and made an appointment. Two weeks later, I was smoke free and have been since then. This lead me to study the use of hypnosis and the power of our mind to make change in our lives.

3.) What's your dream job?

Living it now!

4.) Tell us a few things on your Life To-Do List.

Create a basic listing for new member on my website Finish a series of recording for Enroll kid No. 5 in kindergarden. Enroll No. 6 in preschool. Call my oldest son at school in Florida. Pack up my office of seven years for the move to my new office.

5.) What's for you the toughest challenge when it comes to juggling work and family?

For me its staying true to my priorties. I love to work and I have LOTS of ideas and ambition, however, my focus is my children at this time so I have to remind myself what's important before I take on a new project. The way I look at it is that I'm savoring the time with my children while building a foundation for my biz... so when the children are in school for most of the day and have lives more independent of me, I will be ready to expand my work hours and I will have the clients and reputation i need to be a HUGE PROFITABLE SUCCESS. The way I have built my busuiness had taken to pressure off and I have had time to make small mistakes instead of large-scale ones that may have put me out of business!
