One thing that you have or do that makes your busy life easier:

Setting goals on a daily basis. Small goals make big goals.

One thing that would make your life easier would be: More help. Having a live-in nanny.

If you could afford to stay at home, would you still choose to work? Why?

I think for a little while I would stay at home, especially while my children are young, but only if I had help. It is really hard to manage childcare on your own, even if you are a stay-at-home mom. But if I stayed home, I would go back to work once my children started school; I’d want to feel a sense of purpose every day.

Can you share any advice with fellow professional moms?

Do the best you can professionally when your kids are young; continue to push through. The difficult time is only temporary (while they are young) and you should try to hang on to your career. I’ve been told things get easier.

Do you feel a lot of guilt as a professional mom? What are your strategies for dealing with it?

Yes, I always feel guilty. But when I am with my kids, after a day of work, I give them 100%. I also believe my kids will be better socialized as they will be exposed to other people and other caregivers besides me and my husband.
