I keep a tall laundry basket hidden in my closet and I throw any random out of place stuff in it when we have last-minute company. Just be sure to put that stuff where it goes eventually so you can have your basket ready to use again!”

Having friends to share kid stories with. Working out on my lunch break so I don't have to sacrifice home time to do so. The crock pot. Bagged salad. Remembering that I have my whole later-adult life to do other stuff, but my daughter is only going to be 2 for just this year.

My son loves to eat Kraft Easy Mac, in the little microwave bowl. Problem is, after cooking 3 minutes in the microwave, it is way too hot for him to eat, and he is way to impatient to wait for it to cool. So I toss in an ice cube and stir it up, the cube will melt and the food will cool in no time! This saves me lots of toddler sized whining for "eat-eat".

I've taken multitasking to a new level and built a Treadmill Desk!! Take a used or new treadmill with straight arms (important), velcro down a small shelf, add your laptop (and in my case, an extended keyboard) - and start walking! I can easily walk and type at about 1 MPH. It's very slow - but after a morning at work, I'm totally guilt free if I don't find time to work out. A work-at-home luxury that I hope will inspire some of you -- walk on!

Buy a package of clothespins at the grocery store and use them instead of twist ties on things such as bread, plastic bags etc. So much easier! I delight in ripping off the twist ties that come on things and replacing it with a clothespin. I even use them on things in the freezer.

I was in a car accident a while ago, and I used my cell phone to snap pictures of the scene, including close-ups of the damage, both cars' license plates, and the position of the vehicles in the road. It was a lifesaver when it came to filing the claim with my insurance company, as the other driver got his friends to move his vehicle out of the area and remove some of the damaged parts of his car within aabout 30 minutes, leaving only the pictures on my camera as proof that he was at fault!

My lifesaver is something easy because it's something that you have to do anyways. I'm a big fan of cooking and love finding new recipes so whenever I can I try to whip up a new recipe for the family for dinner (I try to go for budget friendly recipes). It's fun because I get have feedback from my taste testers and if it's a recipe I found online I can go back to the website and rate or tell what ingredients I switched out to make it more likeable for my family.

i spent long hours travelling in the co. bus....so while travelling to office i plan about 'things to do at office", while travelling back home i plan about "things to do at home"...i also maintain a small notepad which helps me scribble anything that come s to my mind (know its traditional but its very effective) like things to buy on weekend, important things to discuss with boss or doctor)

Cooking extra and freezing!!!! It's healthier and cheaper than eating take-out when we're too busy to cook.
