  • Being able to work from home has been a lifesaver for me. I'm a full-time employee and fortunately my boss is quite flexible and understanding when I need to modify my schedule to be home with the kids. My laptop and corporate VPN (Virtual Private Network) keeps me connected. It took time, a great attitude, and delivering quality work to get to this point.

  • Often, when cooking something like soup or pancakes, I´ll just double or triple the recipe and then freeze the extra. I always have meals ready to go in my freezer this way and they are constantly being replenished . . . ideal for those hectic days when you realize there´s no time to actually cook!

  • my lifesaver has been HANDS-FREE BREAST PUMPING. I use the BustiBand (www.bustiband.com). I've used a breast-pump with all 3 of my kids and hated the fact that I couldn't do much else but sit on the couch and hold the silly things on. I started using the BustiBand and now I can put on my make-up, do my hair, read a book, get on the computer, make phone calls, I've even chopped veggies once (while pumping!). If you pump, be sure to use some sort of "hands-free" product. It will really make your life easier!!

  • I kick back with a good book and a nice cup of tea when I can.

  • I see my son part-time so I prioritize, especially when he is around. He is older now, so I let him know ahead of time if he needs to make plans while I am working or at an important function. I spend quality time with him every other Sunday when I make a nice breakfast and/or dinner. He is quiet, but I make sure to engage him in conversation for at least twenty minutes to keep up with his life, and let him know how important he is to me. I de-stress with music I enjoy, seeing live bands play out, laughing with friends, dancing around the house, a hot bath once in a while, incense, candles, meditation, yoga, etc.

  • I'm a single mom of 1, I find the quickest and easiest way to destress for me in on the drive home from work. I put the most relaxing music that calms me down on, and pump it up so I can't hear anything else and just focus on what the important things are like my daughter and how she'll give me kisses and play with me when I get home!

  • I used to run home, change and get right into the family business of dinner and cleaning. Now I go to my bedroom change and workout. I feel much more relaxed when I emerge from my bedroom

  • my favorite stress reducer is either cooking or working out... depending on the day ive had! on the HORRIBLE days, i can turn on my ipod & hit the gym to "run away" and on the less stressful days, getting in my kitchen & cooking is a place i can go & no one bothers me
