When my husband makes a smoothie in the morning, I have him double up and then pour the extra into popsicle makers. Later, when the kids want a snack, they think they're getting a popsicle treat, whereas I know it's actually healthy!”

Buy greeting cards in bulk! Make one main trip per year and buy a birthday card for each family member & close friend, plus a couple new baby, sympathy, get well cards. Add 3 or 4 thank you cards. Clean up games: put laundry basket in hallway and play who can put away clothes faster, mommy or child?
cleaning while listening to music. give anything to live a clutter-free life.
Combine fitness and family time: instead of trying to squeeze in a trip to the gym after the kids go to bed and before I collapse, we spend our evenings outside doing something active. We walk in the park, play ball, play tag, whatever... It's family time for Dad & kids, it's relaxing (no mess in the house), it gets the kids ready for bed, and it gets us burning calories. Plus our kids are learning that it's more fun to be active & playing than to be sitting in front of the tv.
Cooking extra and freezing!!!! It's healthier and cheaper than eating take-out when we're too busy to cook.
Create a reading "nook" in an empty room or secluded corner of the house. Use a screen or furniture to create a feeling of separation if needs be. All you need is a comfy old armchair and a reading lamp. Even a few minutes a day in your nook curled up with a book will recharge you. It's an easy and free way to build a tiny bit more "you time" into your day.
Cut down on dirty dishes. My mom bought me some red plastic meal baskets, like the ones used at 50's diners such as Hudson's Grill. I keep a stack of them in a drawer in my kitchen and the kids and I use them for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Line them with a cloth/paper napkin and you're set. I use them to serve sandwiches and chips, cheese and crackers, popcorn, toast, bagels and lox (I'll add lettuce to the bottom of the basket), wedges of fruit and cheese and more. When the meal or snack is over, simply toss out the napkin (or put it in the laundry to wash) and you're done. Sometimes we rinse the baskets when we finish, but it's usually not necessary. These baskets have brought unexpected blessing to my little home. The baskets are fun, easy to use and have saved my son and I countless hours of washing and drying stacks of dishes. Yea
Dab a little teething gel (like Ambusol or Orajel or the generic equivalent) on a mosquito bite or bee sting to "take the itch away" -- the lidocaine in the gel numbs the skin the same way it numbs the gums.
