Catherine Cooper, owner of Meal Mistress, Inc. in CHICAGO left the corporate world to pursue her long time passion for cooking. She grew up helping her grandmother in the kitchen and has always enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. She was an educator for elementary grades in Boston and New York City which gives her an edge cooking for families and pleasing those finicky taste buds! Chef Catherine also learned more about nutrition through her public relations experiences conducting consumer education campaigns and research for a variety of food clients. Many people turn to time-saving options such as ready-made, frozen foods and ordering out. Exposing children to different types of foods and nutritious options from the beginning will instill good eating habits for a lifetime! They will take pride in what they eat and make smart choices away from home!
Chef Catherine is currently cooking for busy families and professionals in the Chicago area. She has enjoyed a number of culinary courses in Chicago, New York City, Santa Fe, Nantucket Island and completed the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA) Culinary Program at the Culinary Business Academy in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
I just got the lap band October 1,2008! I'm doing great so far. I have three kids, Avery 6, Benjamin 2, and Katelyn 1. Avery is from my first marriage and Ben and Katelyn are from my second one. Eric is my husband and he is a Marine. He's no longer active, but...you know what they say! Semper Fi! The lifestyle remains. Eric now works here at our local jail and just got a promotion to Assistant Warden.
I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren, my husband is retired from the police force. We love to travel. I have a daughter who lives in Germany, with 3 of my grandchildred.
I am a single working mother of an adorable 6-year-old daughter. I run a small consulting firm 5 days a week, 7 hours a day, otherwise it is all about my beautiful baby girl.
