After having my oldest child, I took a break from my career as a Cash Manager/Product Manager and have considered myself a non-working Mom. I've just finally realized that I am indeed a working mom even though I am not following my original career path.
I have been working part time in retail sales for the past 6 years. I am also a school district treasurer and avid school volunteer (o.k. the volunteer doesn't get paid, but my kids and I do benefit). I have also just recently started to focus my efforts on an online store selling my handcrafted creations, primarily children's clothing, bags, purses, scarves and some small toys.
I am really hoping that I can make my business successful enough to help take care of my family. My children are thriving with their current school/home schedule and I do not want to alter that by going back to a standard office full time. I guess I'm looking for the balance that all us working Mom's strive for.
I'm married to Ed almost 10 years, we have a 7-year old daughter named Hayley. I am an independent consultant with Arbonne Int'l - a health & wellness company.
I am a mother that runs 3 businesses out of her home. Construction (for my husband), Real Estate (for me), and an Online Craft Store (to de-stress! this one is fun, I love to shop for the best deals and pass on the savings).
I own my own company and my husband has just come to work with me (we avoid 'for me' - ha, ha!). I have a boy 5 and a girl 6 and they've just started school full time!
