I live in Las Vegas Nevada with my husband and three children. I am learning a lot about staying at home since for the first 8 to 10 years I have been working. I am ready for a new way to work by doing it from home. I am ready to change the way I work and live to take care of myself and my family.
I have been happily married to a wonderful and supportive husband for over 9 years. I have four beautiful children, three boys and one princess. I look after my mother who lives a few miles from our home - we lost dad in May 2008. I run my own insurance agency with six employees, including my husband. I am very active in the community and volunteer for several organizations.
I am the wife of a wonderful husband and father, and the mother of two young children (well, not so young anymore). I love to spend time with my family and my dog and cat. I work full time as a birth-3 teacher working with parents of young children with disabilities. I also teach the parents how to develop their parenting skills to best help their children.
I want to work part time and stay home more with my son, but my husband's field doesn't enable that so I work full time and he stays at home. I find that I am usually always stressed. I currently am on vacation for few months but I don't seem to be as happy as I'd like. I'm working on a website for my husband and want him to take a part time job so he can pay some bills so I can lower the credit card debt but it hasn't worked out yet.

I currently work for a high-end NY fashion designer from my home - I do recruiting work for her and special projects she assigns. I also run a household with four boys (my husband is one of them!) and a dog. I have one in high school, one in middle school and one in elementary school. I am very busy but always manage to squeeze in exercise and shopping into my day too!

I try to stay fit and enjoy running and pretty much anything that gets my heart pumping. I love to cook and bake. Like to put most anything on the grill. My idea of good tv usually involves spacecraft or mutants.
What made me think it was a good idea to leave Corporate America, launch a business and start a family all within a year's time? Thereâ??s no telling, but I wouldnâ??t have it any other way. FIT-ology combines my eleven-year human resources career with my lifelong study of exercise and sport science to provide a one-stop wellness solution for companies in Georgia and beyond. Keeping up with our son is my favorite workout lately; it seems heâ??s inherited my absurd need to be on the move constantly. I hold an undergraduate degree in Dance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro plus certification as a Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, and I am specialty-certified in Perinatal Fitness. When I'm lucky enough to work out with The Best Husband in the World, he regularly accuses me of making up exercises just to make him look silly. I don't. Really, I don't.
I'm a mom of one! I am a Juice Plus distributer, which I love because I get to help educate people about preventing sickness and disease, and offering a solution to alot of there health problems. I love to spend time with my family and friends, I love shopping, scrapbooking, working out, being outdoors, and traveling.
Art, music, newness, silence, reading creativity, color, design, new use for old materials, the outdoors, strolling in the woods, anything fun and creative. Would love to meet other moms in the Arts to compare notes with! Love DIY projects and drinking wine!
I'm a mother, a daughter, and an entrepreneur. My children are my life, my business is my passion, and my passion is helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle.
Manic Mom dishes about balancing motherhood with writing, lattes, appletini-drinking with self-deprecating humor that will make you think either, "Wow, this mom has problems," or "Hey, I want to party with Manic Mom!"
I've written a book. I have an agent. I just need an editor and publisher. It is my dream to have a real book someday. You can read some of it at 40 Weeks, A Novel. In the meantime, I am writing another one. Because that is what you have to do, so they say. In the other meantime, if you like this stuff on my blog, www.manicmommy.blogspot.com, please pimp me to all your friends, because the more people who read Manic Mommy, the more chances an editor, publisher, or another important decision-maker will find me and want to publish something I've written.
My motto:
WORK IT!
