Minette has a Ph.D. From Stanford University in Spanish. She has taught college, high school and adult enrichment classes on a variety of subjects including Spanish language, literature, women's literature, world religions, creative writing and more recently, marketing.
Now a parent of two young children, Minette's focus has shifted to her own family and to raising happy, healthy and successful children. 6 years ago, she established North Texas Kids, a regional magazine, as a means of learning more about her community and what services were available to families. She uses her publication as a resource guide to help parents simplify parenting in an increasingly complex world where parents are raising their children in isolation, from their extended families and often from other parents in their community.
In 2006 Minette completed her certification as a parent coach through the Academy for Parent Coaching International. She currently teaches the marketing courses for ACPI as well as co-teaches the courses on adolescents. In addition to publishing her newspaper, Minette is an active public speaker and community volunteer. She was awarded the Altrusa Outstanding Women of Today award in 2007 for her vision and commitment as a small business owner.
As a former teacher at the high school and university levels, she understands the power of education for all ages. She is passionate about helping parents to enrich their relationships with their children by learning to communicate and connect more effectively. As a parent of young children, community volunteer and publisher of a parenting publication, Dr. Riordan is in the parenting trenches on a daily basis. She sees where parents are struggling and how children are having difficulty achieving success in all areas of life. She has seen first-hand how improving the way we communicate with our own children can dramatically affect not only relationships but performance as well.

I'm the type of person who always has to be doing something. I left my government sector job three years ago to be self-employed so that I could take control of my own destiny. It's taken three years for me to feel like I really have my legs back underneath me. I have a client who calls me her business therapist. That may be the most accurate way to describe what I do! My job is to help entrepreneurs and small business owners feel more in control of their work.
I am a consultant that helps time-pressed professionals make the most of time, space and information. I LOVE what I do! If you'd like to know more, visit http://www.StephanieCalahan.com or my blog at http://www.ProductiveAndOrganized.net
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic that retired early to stay home with my children and home school them. While at home I have had many different jobs such as jewelry designer and maker, Healthy Chocolate consultant, but my favorite is that of a writer. I found a way to combine my love of writing with my expertise in health and nutrition. But the best part of all is that I can work from home and not be away from my family who are the most important people in my life.
