Facebook has a no-nudity policy for photos, as part of which, you may not upload a photo of a woman breastfeeding a child if any part of the breast is showing.

This article explores both sides of the argument and has some interesting tid bits in it.

What do you think?

  • First of all, you can set up your Facebook account so that only "friends" can see your info and photos. Good idea, period. But also a good idea if you're not crazy about people staring at your breast - or, more importantly, your child.

That said, this is probably just going to be another "breastfeeding in public, yea or nay?" question. I can't imagine the small-mindedness and over-modesty of the person who would be offended at seeing the top half of a breast being used for its original intent, but I'm sure those folk are out there. With such a benign intention for the picture, it's easy to say: "You don't like? Don't look!"
