Now that's a deal I wouldn't mind - some NYC law firm associates are being offered $80k (1/3 of their salary) to not come to work for a year. Instead of laying them off, the firm mentioned in this article is saving money with this creative process -- and many lawyers are interested and are taking the time off to travel or do pro-bono legal work.
