The 'mommy makeover' - growing trend

Mommy makeovers are on the rise. More than 325,000 cosmetic surgery procedures like tummy tuck, liposuction and breast augmentation were performed in 2006 on women between the ages of 20 and 39, an 11% increase over the previous year. These procedures are commonly requested by moms after they have their last child. Some experts contend that this growing trend is driven by unrealistic expectations society holds of mothers as well as the plastic surgery industry itself. And this is tough to doubt, especially when you see how amazing moms in the entertainment industry look so quickly after giving birth. But some women interviewed for the article say that they are doing this for themselves and not to please anyone else. They want to look good and if they need some help doing it, so be it.

What do you think? Have you considered plastic surgery to get your pre-baby body back? Voice your opinion and join in the discussion!
