What type of woman do you think of when you hear the word "feminist"?
According to a new study, the stereotype of a feminist as a woman who is anti-men and anti-romances should now be put to sleep. The study found that:
They found that having a feminist partner was linked to healthier heterosexual relationships for women. Men with feminist partners also reported both more stable relationships and greater sexual satisfaction.
This doesn't actually surprise us. In our opinion, a feminist is a strong, confident woman who stands up for herself and her rights, believes in the power of women, and goes after her goals without regard to conventions. Being a strong and confident person makes one better at relationships so the study makes sense.
Do you agree? Do you find that the old stereotypes of feminists still hold? What do you think of when you hear the word "feminist"?
